Governing Body

NHS Kirklees CCG Governing Body meetings are scheduled for 10.30 am to 1.30 pm on the second Wednesday of every other month. Start times can vary slightly depending on the amount of business to be considered so please do check a few days before the meeting. The meetings, which are held in public (which means anyone can attend), usually alternate between venues in Huddersfield and Dewsbury. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus situation we have made alternative arrangements.

A very small number of items of business cannot be discussed in public because of their confidential nature. The CCG has set strict criteria to determine when business should be treated in this way.

COVID-19

While the coronavirus situation is ongoing, it is not possible for meetings to be held in public so they are being conducted by video conferencing.

Members of the public are able to “attend” Governing Body meetings via the relevant link in the list of meetings on the Governing Body Papers page. We are using Microsoft Teams software to run the meetings. It works best with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers.

  • The link will go live shortly before the meeting starts.
  • When you open the link in your browser you will be asked to enter your name and wait for someone to admit you to the meeting.
  • When prompted, please provide your name as this helps us to understand who is in attendance.
  • When joining the meeting, make sure your microphone and camera are turned off – otherwise you will be visible and audible to everyone in the meeting.
  • If you are not admitted immediately, please be patient; we know you are waiting.

There will be an opportunity at each meeting for the public to ask the Governing Body questions. To find out more see Asking Questions at Meetings of the Governing Body. If you have any questions for the public questions part of the meeting, it would be helpful if you could e-mail these to us as far in advance as possible. Written responses will be provided in due course, but this may take longer than usual as we are very busy providing support to the COVID-19 response.

Please email us to submit any questions you may have in advance.
