We are committed to working closely with third sector organisations that can support our engagement and consultation activities and help us reach out to a broader and more diverse range of people. We work with local community and voluntary organisations on specific engagement projects, encourage them to help us share important healthcare and service messages, and meet with them regularly through our public engagement events.
Community Voices
Community Voices are individuals working in the voluntary and community sector who engage with the local population on our behalf. By working with volunteers in this way, the response to our conversations has strengthened and increased, particularly among seldom heard groups. The Community Voices programme is delivered by local charity, VAC. They take responsibility for recruiting, training and providing ongoing support to the individuals who support this programme of work. We currently have around 40 Community Voices that represent many of our communities across Kirklees. If you would like to know more or to get involved the please email us.
